"And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. .....And the evening and the morning were the fourth day." Genesis 1:16,19
Nature magazine just published a theory shattering piece about a recent study by a team of Astronomers. Using radio telescopes in Chile that are designed for detecting early planet formation—a team led by astronomer Dominique Segura-Cox of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) in Germany took a close look at the star system called IRS 63 which is claimed to be about 470 light-years away from us. What they discovered led them to believe that planets and stars form at the same time. Dr. Ian Stephens, a postdoc of Center for Astrophysics (CfA) in the United States, said in a statement “Traditionally it was thought that a star does most of its formation before the planets form, but our observations showed that they form simultaneously.”
Well, I wish they would have asked me first. I knew this when I was a child in Sunday School. I am excited that these scientists are exploring our galaxy. What they will find, however, is that every single theory which goes contrary to the Biblical account will eventually be disproved.
They would be so far ahead if they would build their research on the scientific fact that every design has a designer. As Solomon said it so well, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
