“Wherefore I also labour, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.” Colossians 1;29
This verse spoke to my heart this week in my personal devotions, and I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind. You see, I constantly ask for God to work THROUGH ME mightily. I plead with Him to pour His Words through me to help those who listen to my sermons, but I often neglect to ask Him to work IN ME mightily.
Paul told Timothy “Give heed to thyself…..and thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.” That Power that God has, that Majesty and Glory, He wants to use inside of us. Yes, He wants to use us and He wants to speak through us but He first wants to make us alive by His mighty power. He wants to work in us before He works through us.
