What does God think about another Black man getting shot by police?

"For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." Romans 13:4

What does God think about a violent criminal being shot and killed?

The news reported another person of color being shot by police this morning. The predictable demonstration followed with mobs taking the streets asking to abolish the police. I was astonished that once again their was not a sense of relief that this man (no matter his color) would no longer abuse his own mother. What kind of man would threaten his mother?

Why do police carry weapons? Because they come in contact with violent criminals. They are not called to a birthday party in progress. No one calls 911 so that the police can see their dance recital. They are always called to the scene of a crime and they are trained to respond in certain ways. You don't hear to much about the thousands of times they are able to deescalate violent situations by verbal negotiations. I have witnessed such situations were negotiators have been able to talk criminals out of violent acts and get them help. Sometimes, however, the only way to keep people from getting killed is to stop the one who has intent to kill. In that case color is never an issue. Weapons are. If a man is brandishing a knife, he is considered a lethal problem. If he attacks, he will be shot.

God established authority to stop evil doers. Law and order is a God ordained idea. Those who would abolish the police are in open rebellion to God.

We would all contribute to better race relations if we would stop measuring evil by color and start measuring evil by itself. The only way to stop the evil is to let the police do their jobs.
