“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
Waiting is hard for me. I know, I know, it is a fault that I have. If there is nothing on the calendar, I feel like I am not doing anything—surely the Lord must want me to start something new or blow something up. The truth is that the Lord really wants me to wait on Him. (He said it twice in just this one verse.)
It isn’t that I am ahead of the Lord, (I’m sure he hasn’t run out of ideas) No, He is working on a gazillion things at one time to put together the exact answer to the needs of millions of people, maybe he will use me on this one...maybe he will use someone else on the team that is a better fit for this task. But right now….He just wants me to shut up and listen. Why? Because His goal is to have a conversation with me!
What? God wants to talk to me?! Ok, better clear the schedule because there is no call more important.
