Confidence comes from Character

“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.” Proverbs 10: 9

The whole world enjoys watching someone that is sure of himself. The greatest dramas have a hero in the center of the story who knows exactly what he is doing and where he is going. Our leaders often are the ones who are confident of what they believe and can communicate that confidence to others.

What I’ve noticed is that the best leaders are those with the best self-discipline. They are the ones with the best character. They are the ones who walk uprightly.

When you have spent your personal time building your character and shaping your life after the life of Christ, you will discover that the uncertainty of life, and even the uncertainty of death, will be replaced with a confidence that defies explanation.
