“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit....” John 15:15
In the Old Testament there are many stories about men having conversations with God. When Adam was in the Garden, God was the one who started the conversation. When Cain murdered Abel, God began a conversation with him. And when Abraham reasoned with God about Sodom and Gomorrah, again it was God who started the conversation.
In the New Testament it is very clear that He is the One who reached out to us. Our prayers are not a struggle to get God’s attention. He is the one who begins every conversation. He wants to speak with us even more than we want to talk to Him.
