A Poem about change

It isn't like it used to be

So says the sage and the apple tree

There's so much change, The young are wild,

The words are all different,

The leader's a child.

But truly it is like it used to be

From age to age just like a tree.

There's no knew thing under the Sun

Each age says the same

About the next one.

Each year the leaves will turn and fall

And then they return as though not gone at all.

The child will grow to be the sage

And so, it continues from age to age.

Will the fruit that you drop become a tree?

Will it build a child or help him to see?

Or will your fruit lie rotten all over the ground?

These things you must ask

As you circle around. -DH
